The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship mobile CPU, the details of which the company has kept under wraps. But rumors and leaks have been going around constantly, progressively disclosing more information about it.
According to a leak that surfaced just now, the first phones featuring this SoC might be released in October. In the AnTuTu benchmark test, the SoC achieved 1,769,083 points. It is even less than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 of the present generation.
Lower-than-expected performance is also probably due to the fact that it is an engineering sample of the SOC and is heavily throttled by the CPU.
The most important lesson is that the video displays the CPU’s basic design. Expectedly, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will have a 2+6 core arrangement, with two efficient cores and six high-performance cores.
