Exynos 2600 Competes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
Since the Exynos 2200, Samsung and AMD have collaborated to help mobile processors support RDNA-based GPUs. With the Exynos 1480, the cooperation has even reached the mid-range market, and the most current Exynos 2400 also features an RDNA GPU.
That being said, there may be a change for the Exynos 2600, according to speculations from dependable industry insiders Roland Quandt and RexDA.
It is possible that Samsung will be switching to AMD for its 2026 flagship chip’s graphics, according to both tipsters. Rather than focusing on developing a GPU architecture specifically for the Exynos 2600, the South Korean firm is working on new projects.
There are relatively few details available about the Exynos 2600, especially in relation to Samsung’s intentions for its own GPU. Nevertheless, the business may still utilize RDNA as a basis for creating its own GPU, just like Qualcomm’s Adreno GPUs are derived from AMD’s Radeon lineup.
Samsung’s 2025 flagships, the Galaxy S25 series, will still use an AMD GPU in combination with an Exynos chipset—more precisely, the Exynos 2500 (S5E9955). In a certain areas, the lineup will also employ Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Samsung Galaxy chip.
Samsung is scheduled to release the Exynos 2600 and Galaxy S26 series in 2026. Thus, there is enough time for plans to change.
