Samsung’s intention to allow its wearable devices to offer users noninvasive blood sugar monitoring has long been known. The company has been working on this technology for a while now and it appears that Samsung’s next wearable device may finally get this feature.
A recent report from South Korea claims that Samsung will include blood sugar monitoring with the Galaxy Watch 7 this year. The Galaxy Watch 7 is scheduled to launch on July 10, 2024, as we exclusively revealed yesterday.
In the latter part of this year, the Galaxy Watch 7 will be released.
In January of this year, Hon Pak, vice president and head of digital healthcare at Samsung Electronics, gave a presentation on the company’s efforts to achieve noninvasive blood sugar monitoring with wearable technology. He emphasized that Samsung was making a “significant investment” to enable it to occur.
At the Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, Pak recently had a meeting with the members of the advisory board for the Samsung Health platform. Diabetes, blood sugar monitoring, and the usage of AI in Samsung Health were the main topics of conversation.
It is currently anticipated that Samsung would incorporate blood sugar monitoring into the next generation of Galaxy Watch 7 models.

Samsung Watch 7 launch date
For regulatory reasons, the corporation might decide to categorize the smartwatch as an electronic gadget rather than a medical one. It’s also possible that this capability may be added to the Samsung Galaxy Ring, which is anticipated to be the company’s first smart ring and will be released later this year.
